Yawara Ng enjoys the intellectual challenge presented by practicing law. Clients benefit from his competitive spirit and desire to give his best to every matter.
Yawara’s exposure to diverse cultures enables him to relate well to everyone. Born to a Japanese mother and Hong Kongese father, he spent his early years living on a farm before moving to the city of Hong Kong. He later immigrated to the United States with his grandparents and became the first person in his family to graduate from college. He is proud to call North Carolina his new home.
During law school, Yawara served as the Executive Online Editor of the Journal of Law and Policy and the Golf Director for the Public Interest Law Organization. He was also a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team.
Before joining Hedrick Gardner, Yawara was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Richard Dietz and the Honorable Allegra Collins at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. He completed an externship for the Honorable Carl J. Barbier in New Orleans, Louisiana and an externship for the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna at the Court of Appeals Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C.
When not practicing law, Yawara follows soccer, basketball, fantasy football and Formula One racing. He is a huge music and movie buff, who spends as much time as he can with his dogs, Watson and London.
