Biography

Wesley Mayberry’s skills in creative problem-solving and writing led him to his career as a lawyer. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned his law degree, he was an articles editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law. He also served as a research assistant and spent a summer clerking for Judge Noel L. Hillman of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in Camden.

Wesley is a partner in Hedrick Gardner’s Charlotte office where he practices in the firm’s Workers’ Compensation group. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, as well as the North Carolina Bar Association and the Mecklenburg Bar Association.

Born in North Carolina, Wesley grew up in Washington, D.C.  As a student at Hamilton College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, Wesley was a two time captain of the Hamilton baseball team. He holds the school record for hits in a single season.  His current athletic interests include Crossfit, running, and yoga.

Wesley also enjoys studying languages. As a Spanish major at Hamilton, he spent a semester living and studying in Madrid. While abroad, he traveled to France, Italy, Portugal and Morocco. He also studied the Russian and Arabic languages and cultures in college.
