Biography

Tatiana M. Terry is a 2016 cum laude graduate of North Carolina State University with a BA in Criminology and a minor in Political Science, and a 2019 graduate of Campbell University School of Law with a focus on trial advocacy. A product of Campbell Law’s nationally-ranked advocacy program, Tatiana is one of the most decorated advocates in the school’s 45-year history.

While at Campbell, Tatiana served as a dual-advocate on both the Client Counseling and Trial Advocacy teams. As a member of the Client Counseling Team, she won the ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition, ABA National Client Counseling Competition, and represented the U.S. in the International Client Consultation Competition, where she and her teammate won, the first time any North Carolinian law students earned the title of World Client Consultation Champions.

On the Trial Advocacy team, she earned the individual award for best Direct-Examination at the National Civil Trial Competition, Best Overall Advocate at the National Black Law Student Association’s (NBLSA) Southern Regional Mock Trial Competition, best Cross-Examination at NBLSA’s Southern Regional Mock Trial Competition, and finished as a champion at both the NBLSA Southern Regional Mock Trial Competition and NBLSA National Mock Trial Competition. She later won the coveted Top Gun Mock Trial Competition in 2019, making her the first African-American to win the most challenging, invitation-only trial advocacy tournament in the nation, earning the title of the #1 ranked mock trial advocate amongst law schools students across the county.

Her practice includes complex commercial litigation, malpractice and professional responsibility, products liability claims, employment, and personal injury claims. She has also litigated before occupational licensing boards, defending and prosecuting licensees. Tatiana served as an Assistant District Attorney in the 10th Prosecutorial District for Wake County where her practice specialized in identity theft, special victims, and constitutional litigation, with an emphasis on fourth, fifth, and sixth amendment jurisprudence. She has also served as the Director of Competitive Advocacy for Campbell Law while teaching second and third-year law students Trial Advocacy as a Professor of Law.

When she is not working on her cases, she continues to give back to the legal community by coaching Campbell Law Trial Advocacy teams. She prides herself on having coached a national championship-winning team in 2022.

Tatiana is married to her college sweetheart Quintin Terry, Sr., and they have one son, Quintin Terry, Jr. She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.
