Biography

Mike Rothrock likes a challenge. Aside from being a marathon runner and triathlete, he enjoys the rigors of problem-solving and advocating for his clients in the courtroom. Mike joined Hedrick Gardner after spending eight years practicing personal injury law on the plaintiff’s side.  Prior to that, he clerked for two years in a personal injury firm while earning his Juris Doctorate at Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.

As an attorney in Hedrick Gardner’s Raleigh office, Mike’s focus is on civil litigation.  He has extensive experience litigating cases, including first chair trial experience, and has devoted a large portion of his professional time educating other lawyers on litigation practice, ethics, and technology.

“I am well acquainted with the issues that face our clients, and bring a unique perspective to their problems because I have been on the other side,” he said.

Due to his work in the courtroom, Mike has been named a “Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 (Litigation),” by the American Society of Legal Advocates 2014-2018.  Mike has also authored and co-authored several published articles regarding personal injury in Personal Injury Practice in North Carolina and The Warrior: Journal of the Trial Lawyers College. He’s also a frequent speaker at continuing education seminars.

In his free time, Mike enjoys an active lifestyle of hiking, running, camping, and mountain biking.  When he’s not on the trails Mike can be found at home with his wife, son, and German Shepherd.
