Originally from Michigan, Jamie migrated to Charlotte after building an impressive academic and legal foundation for her practice across the United States. Jamie earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Environmental Science from the University of Michigan in 2010 and obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2013. While in law school, Jamie’s love of travel led her to study foreign law at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland.
Upon completion of law school, she moved back to Detroit and joined a boutique firm where she practiced civil litigation, specializing in insurance defense. After a year of private practice, Jamie moved in-house to Farmers Insurance. While at Farmers, Jamie single-handedly managed a caseload of over 70 files. She also tried her first case as first-chair, which she won after the jury returned a “no cause of action” verdict in favor of Farmers.
In 2016, Jamie was ready to move back below the Mason-Dixon Line and settle in the South. After moving to Charlotte, she joined Hedrick Gardner and now focuses her practice on workers’ compensation.
When she can find rare moments of free time, Jamie also traveling, yoga, watching Michigan & Alabama football and spending time with her husband and her dogs: Mozzie (Husky/Golden Retriever mix) and Wilson (a pocket pitbull).
