David Vaught is results-oriented and enjoys working hard for the benefit of his clients.
A native of Kernersville, NC, David developed an interest in law during high school and pursued that interest after obtaining his undergraduate degree from N.C. State and gaining professional experience.
David graduated summa cum laude from the North Carolina Central University School of Law. While in law school, he served as the Managing Editor of the North Carolina Central Law Review, President of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society, and completed the Dispute Resolution Certificate program. During the summer of 2016, David attended the University of Oregon School of Law Summer Sports Institute in Eugene, OR.
Prior to law school, David worked in the front office of the Carolina RailHawks, a professional soccer team, serving as Vice President of Operations and Communications. At the RailHawks, he managed various departments of the organization including event management, soccer operations, and communications. It was at Carolina that David first experienced workers’ compensation claims, as an employer.
At Hedrick Gardner, David defends employers of all sizes against workers’ compensation claims.
David is an avid sports fan and looks forward to attending Charlotte’s sporting and entertainment events. David is new to Charlotte and is excited to explore the city with his wife, Lori, and son, Walker. In their spare time, the couple is active with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of North Carolina.
