Hedrick Gardner’s Community Association Law Practice Group regularly represents property management companies, self-managed and outside managed community associations, developers and individuals in community association matters.

Our practice focuses on the following areas:

  • Collecting dues and assessments, including filing liens and foreclosure actions
  • Handling covenant and restriction violations
  • Instructing communities on compliance with federal and state laws
  • Advising on parliamentary procedure, annual meetings, elections and proxies
  • Developing resolutions and rules
  • Assisting the association with transitions from developer control to member control
  • Resolving neighborhood disputes and litigation
  • Drafting and enforcing Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, CC&Rs and other governing documents
  • Litigating construction defect matters
  • Assisting the association with the transfer of roads and utilities to governmental authorities
