Word Processor - Charlotte Office 

Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo, LLP, a civil defense litigation firm with offices throughout the Carolinas, seeks an experienced Word Processor to work in a team environment in our Charlotte office. We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong problem solving skills, high computer software proficiency, excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional grammar, spelling, document editing and proofreading skills. Candidate must be detail oriented, have a professional demeanor, be able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment and have a customer-service focus. Minimum five-years experience as a word processor or transcriptionist in a professional setting. Heavy transcription, minimum typing speed of 65 wpm. Proficiency in several of the following areas is important to a candidate's success: Microsoft Word, document management, case management, voice recognition software and expertise in formatting documents, merging documents and creating templates. Knowledge of legal document formatting and appellate court procedures is a plus.
